What We Believe
At Macedonia Baptist Church, we believe that the Gospel message of Jesus Christ is the most important message in all of human history. We believe that God’s Word is true, and we seek to live our lives according to the Bible’s teachings. We believe heartily that God so loved a world full of sinners that He sent His Only-Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross and rise from the grave so that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
We believe that the God who created us loves us and is willing to redeem us. We believe that God will forgive anyone who comes to Him in repentance and faith, and we believe that He will transform His followers into the persons He created them to be. That’s the journey we are all on at Macedonia Baptist Church – being transformed to become all that God wants us to be for His glory and for the good of the world around us.
Conner is originally from Morgantown, KY, where he gave his life to Christ at the age of 8! Conner loves to teach and preach the Word of God. It is Conner’s desire to make much of Jesus! Before accepting the position as Senior Pastor in September of 2022, Conner served as Student Pastor here starting in January of 2019. Conner has his Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Ministry from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College. Conner is married to his wife Michaela, and they have one son, Everett. In his free time, Conner loves to spend time with his family, going camping and hunting. Conner loves to enjoy the creation of God.
Jackson has been serving as the Worship Pastor since December of 2020. He graduated from Martin Methodist College with a bachelor’s degree in Music and Choral Studies. He has been serving in ministry since 2016, but has been singing and playing music in church since he was 5! Jackson believes that we were created to worship, and that in everything we do, we should do it as an act of worship to the Lord. He and his wife, Kaitlin, have one son, Lucas. Jackson is also heavily involved in our missions, as he oversees our year-round Operation Christmas Child mission.
Logan has been joyfully serving in full-time Youth Ministry for 10 years now and strongly desires to see teenagers go from death to life as they realize there really is a higher purpose for their lives. Fortnite and weekend parties may have their appeal, but Jesus is so much better! Logan realized this his freshmen year of college, after running from Jesus for a long time. Once he finally surrendered his life to Jesus, he changed his major to Christian Studies in Youth Ministry and has never looked back since! Logan is happily married to his wife Blair and they have 3 awesome kids, Theo, Gabe and Luci! Logan loves preaching the gospel, connecting with people, basketball and having fun. He’s also a pretty wicked shot with a nerf gun. Logan simply wants to see the world turned upside down for Jesus, and he believes that teenagers are not just the future of the Church but they are the Church RIGHT NOW and can and will have incredible impact for the Kingdom as they become leaders in Christ for the next generation!
Jo has served as ministry assistant for Macedonia since October 2019. She lives in Owensboro with her husband Pat, and two very spoiled cats. She enjoys cooking (but not cleaning!) and playing board and card games. Her favorite Scripture passage is 2 Corinthians 5:17-21.
Kim is excited to be Children’s Director after previously having been Nursery Coordinator for 5 years here at Macedonia. She and her husband, Drew have 3 children, Eli, Emma, and Easton. She enjoys gardening, diy projects, reading and camping. She memorized Psalms 121 as a 5 year old and it has been her favorite verse ever since.
